Long before Hustle existed, those lessons became part of the person I was becoming.

Kathleen introduced me to kickboxing and boxing at a time when I needed confidence, purpose and somewhere to belong.

Walking into that gym changed more than my fitness. It taught me discipline, resilience and the confidence to stand up for myself. Looking back, that first step shaped far more than I ever realised.

Tina and I met in the ring. We'd never met before, but neither of us wanted to lose. We earned each other's respect before we earned each other's friendship. Nearly thirty years later, she's still one of the first people I'd call.

After I lost my mum, Kate became another mother figure in my life. She never tried to replace what I'd lost. She simply never stopped showing up.
